Innovative power has been an integral part of
our company's character for over 250 years. We
have repeatedly worked on optimising the ceramic
material, production processes and functionality,
and have created new product solutions. As a result
new horizons have been opened up in terms of product
aesthetics.
In recent years, we have been able to present
numerous technical innovations which have led
to a high degree of optimisation in the utility
value of our products: Some examples are the easy-care
ceramic finish, "CeramicPlus", the "AquaReduct"
water-saving module for WC flushing, the concealed
overflow which eliminates the need for unsightly
overflow holes and "Magic Basin", a
washbasin whose new sensor system replaces tap
fittings. The problem of toilet odours is solved
by the "PurAir" WC, the first toilet
with an integrated system for actively eliminating
odours . Thanks to the modular prefabricated bathroom
concept "e-motion", commercial bathrooms
can be installed in no time at all – with
a minimum of noise, dirt and dust pollution.
Using our patented material "Quaryl"
we are able to produce baths and shower trays
in completely new designs. As its name suggests,
the "Light Tile" introduces the element
of light into interior design in the form of a
tile. By integrating light-emitting diodes into
high-quality tiles, the tile itself becomes a
source of light which can be used as an exclusive
design element or as a guidance system to light
the way.
We were one of the first companies in the design
field to systematically introduce the pattern
and colour concept "Mix & Match"
into all tableware lifestyles. Furthermore, we
received the "2004 German Business Innovation
Award" both for our exciting tableware design
"NewWave Caffè" and the production
technique which was developed specially to handle
its asymmetrical shape.
